Trauma Therapist (Fully Remote, Local and In-Person, or Hybrid)

About Us

Established by a trauma therapist rather than being VC-backed, Evergreen Counseling proudly stands as the inaugural boutique, trauma-informed therapy center in the nation.

At Evergreen, our primary focus is on our clients, ensuring the provision of exceptional, professional, warm, and humanistic care. Every team member at Evergreen is trauma-informed and equipped with advanced training in trauma treatment modalities. This enables us to effectively serve clients dealing with single incident traumas or early relational traumas, often referred to as developmental trauma.

Furthermore, at Evergreen, we prioritize our staff by offering the most comprehensive benefits package among therapy centers in the Bay Area (details below). Fully licensed clinicians have the flexibility to tailor their schedules to suit their needs, assuming they see 25 clients per week. We provide continuous training, consultation, and advanced education opportunities, all while fostering a supportive environment with exceptionally responsive leadership and administrative support to aid you in your role as a therapist.

About The Role

We are actively seeking a trauma-trained clinician with the expertise to adeptly address relational trauma, often referred to as attachment or developmental trauma.

As a trauma therapist at Evergreen Counseling, your focus will predominantly be on working with moderate to high-functioning clients, many of whom may identify as adult children of individuals with mood and personality disorders. Additionally, you will engage with clients who have experienced relational or developmental trauma for various reasons.

This position requires a willingness and ability to manage a caseload of 25 clients per week, demonstrating sensitivity in working with clients presenting a diverse range of sexual, gender, and lifestyle preferences.

Aligned with all roles at the center, this position embodies the core values of Evergreen Counseling: professional excellence, warmth, and clinical rigor. You will actively contribute to our collective effort in creating an inclusive environment for all of Evergreen’s clients.

In addition to delivering high-quality clinical care to your caseload, your responsibilities include ongoing completion of the required documentation (including treatment plans, SOAP notes, charting, discharge notes, etc.). Additionally, you'll conduct necessary consult calls with prospective new clients assigned to your caseload, reach out to lateral providers when and if needed. Moreover, you'll have the opportunity (though not mandatory) to participate in monthly peer support groups and/or access Evergreen Counseling’s clinical leadership team at any point for consultation and support.

Evergreen Counseling is dedicated to ensuring our clinicians have the time and support needed to care for themselves and develop their skills as they serve our clients.
